'Don't waste your bio-waste'

It is our pleasure to invite you to the conference 'Don't waste your bio-waste' which will be held in Brussels on 21 September 2010. The event is organised in the context of the Belgian EU presidency.

Within the EU the management of bio-waste has been subject for discussion for a long time. Bio-waste isn't just a waste, it has a lot of value if managed sustainably.

The purpose of the conference is to highlight the positive consequences of a harmonised and integrated approach of this valuable waste. Additionally participants will get the possibility to reflect on the latest communication on bio-waste from the European Commission

Registration

The participation to the conference is free of charge. However, travel and accomodation costs must be covered by the participants.

To register, please fill in the on-line registration form (until 14 September 2010).

The participation to the conference will be limited to 180 people.

Venue and practical details

The conference will take place at the Comité of the Regions

1040 Brussels-Belgium

The conference starts at 9am.
Note that for security reasons, every participant has to pass a security check. This means that entering the building could take some time. Please do take this into account.

Luggage can be left at a guarded area.

Site visits
22 September 2010

On 22 September 2010 a visit to two treatment plants will be organised, under the condition of at least 20 participants
